| The airport was renamed Southwest Florida International Airport in 1993, although it had hosted international flights since 1984 and U.S. Customs since 1987, primarily for services to Germany and other destinations in Europe. The parking garage is located directly across from the terminal with rental car facilities on the ground floor. Long-term parking is located beyond the parking garage. Shuttles will provide transportation to this lot.
Lee Tran provides public transportation between 6am and 10pm. A bus service is provided on an hourly basis to a transfer point, located at Daniels Parkway and U.S. Since southern Florida is an area of high economic growth it seems unlikely that this pattern of swiftly mounting volumes of air traffic will change, therefore the airport owners have deemed it necessary to expand the airport. |

| Just lovely about short time parking is available directly in front of the terminal. Long time is a short walk away. Economy parking is further away and connected by a shuttle service. I like so much. |

| Southwest florida international Airport Parking facilities, including the second runway currently under construction and the current gate Midfield Terminal Complex, have a yearly design capacity of 10 million passengers. I am very crazy about that. |
